ProxiCash is a fintech startup to encourage banking penetration in rural areas, by addressing the users’ main concern, lack of access to cash. Their unique approach would allow people to withdraw funds from their bank accounts from any of the more than 30.000 proximity stores throughout the countryside.
Fintechs from all across Europe have registered to join this year’s Open Banking Hackathon – Online CEE Edition. After careful consideration, 15 teams from Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Greece and Cyprus have been selected to move forward with the competition starting Wednesday, September 29th until Sunday, October 3rd.
Open Banking continues to make progress despite the pandemic and last year’s hackathon has proven that fintechs are more and more adaptable to transforming the financial services industry.
With two more weeks until the application deadline on September 19th, more than 30 teams from all across the Europe have already submitted their interest in joining the competition.
The 3rd CEE edition of Open Banking Hackathon will take place between September 29th – October 3rd 2021. Registrations are now open for fintechs that want to change the traditional financial industry.

Teams from 10 European countries (Poland 🇵🇱, Romania 🇹🇩, Bulgaria 🇧🇬, Hungary🇭🇺, Austria 🇦🇹, Croatia 🇭🇷, Slovenia 🇸🇮, Slovakia 🇸🇰, Czech Republic 🇨🇿 and Greece 🇬🇷) are invited to take part in the challenge and build value creation applications on top of the battle tested Open Banking data aggregation platform provided by Finqware. Registrations are open until 19th of September 2021.
